We are clearly in love with acrylic these days! It is pure elegance and so versatile. While wood tends to evoke more of a rustic vibe, acrylic can literally fit within any theme, always adding a hint of romance to anything it touches. Here are our favorite ways to use it to set the scene for your big day.
Save the Date and Invitations
Can you imagine getting one of these in the mail? Talk about a keepsake! These would have guests not only showing them off, but also counting down the days to see what else is in store.
Wedding Ring Box
Kind of obsessed with our very own Maeven wedding ring box. An often-overlooked item while wedding planning, it serves as a stunning photo opp holding the most important emblems of the day. Have it waiting at the end of the aisle for a sentimental centerpiece as guests filter in awaiting the bride and groom.
Seating Signs, Escort Cards and Place Cards
First things first: do you know the difference between escort cards and place cards? Escort cards are typically found at the entrance to direct guests to their tables. Place cards are already on the tables to show guests to their actual seat (these are not required but certainly help avoid confusion, especially if your guests have chosen their meal ahead of time). To replace escort cards, some people choose a large seating sign at the front with everyone’s names; there is no right or wrong way (except avoiding seating altogether, which gets really, er, messy).
Acrylic seating signs create a gorgeous display as guests enter the reception. You can keep it really clean and classic with white script font framed with greenery or candles, or make a fun design and use different shapes and colors for a more eclectic feel.
We are smitten for these acrylic mirrored place cards. They can get a little pricey but are perfect for the head table to make your bridal party feel extra special!
Oh, hello beautiful welcome sign! Talk about setting a mood. An acrylic welcome sign is a great way to set the tone and show guests what they’re in for from the start.
You can follow the welcome sign with an acrylic hashtag sign, so guests know where to post all of their fun photos throughout the night. You’ll be able to see them all in one place for days to come!
This is such a great idea because you won’t have to print a program for each guest. Eco-friendly, cost-effective and oh-so-easy on the eyes, it’s a win win... win.
Paper out, acrylic in. These menus are too pretty to pass up. Use a colorful napkin or florals for a beautiful backdrop to each place setting. Pro tip: Printing an acrylic menu for every guest can get pricey, but you can display one or two menus on stands at each table instead.
Acrylic bar menus are also a gorgeous way to let guests know what’s on tap for the evening.
Add a fairy tale touch with poems on the cocktail tables or love stanzas lining the aisle alongside garland and candles. It’s the most important walk of your life, may as well make it wonderful.
Acrylic is a fun way to make your wedding unique using the colors, shapes and words you love. Play with it. White looks good with everything and pops nicely against various backgrounds, but metallics like gold are also quite stunning. If you love acrylic as much as we do, check out our favorite shop, Paper and Pine Co., and get decorating!
